The Window

The Window

When the sun wakes me up in the morning I pop off my bed not to miss the drama that takes place on the other side of the window. I start the day as a bird, watching Sarajevo from 40 meters high nest and each time Sarajevo tells me what will be my day.

The Wall

The Wall

"During the war, I lost a lot of my friends, I felt so sad and so alone. I was desperately looking for any signs of peace and normal existence (...) I was looking for a single sign, go a single part of same building without traces of bombing, and I found it. It was just a part of the outside wall of a building nearby Medical Faculty. I used t go there every day. (...) I used to watch at that wall for hours imagining peace. (...) Even today, I sometimes, go to that place (...)"

"When I encountered Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time in 2012, to my great surprise in a google map search Bosnia was represented by a white space between Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. The empty space filled with some random spots - representing cities. After some time I spent in Bosnia I realized that this very first image I recieved from the google map website actually makes a perfect metaphorical sense. "The white space" is a symbol of Bosnia, a country beyond time and space."

"Neka puca neka puca"

"Sunday was a day when I was used to be awaken by bells of the cathedral. On the table in the kitchen I used to find plenty of kinds of vegetables, cheeses, fruits and meet that mother had already brought me from the market. I don't remember so many cars in that time. Instead of parking places with number of cars, I remember children were playing the game "neka puca neka puca"."
